This way, please! 📖

Read it slowly. Say the words out loud.

A confused tourist with a backpack holds an upside-down paper map and stops Mia on a street corner.

Mia walks in town. A tourist stops her. She looks lost. 🗺️

"Excuse me," says the tourist. "Where is the station, please?"

Mia smiles. Once, she was new here too. Now she knows the way!

"Go straight down this street," she says. "Then turn left at the café."

Mia confidently points the way down the street; the tourist smiles with relief.

"Turn right at the park. The station is on your left," says Mia.

The tourist is happy. "Thank you so much!" she says.

Mia feels proud. Her first directions in English! "You're welcome," she says. 😊

Notice: for directions we use go straight, turn left, turn right. They tell you the way.

Act it out 🎭

Now YOU know the town — help someone find the way!

🎬 The scene: A street corner in town. A tourist with a big map stops you. She looks worried.

Round 1 — you are Mia

Your teacher is the tourist. Speak your lines — don't write them.

Tourist: "Excuse me! I think I am lost. Where is the station, please?"

You: (tell her the first part of the way — start from this street)

Tourist: "Down this street… OK. And then?"

You: (give the next two steps — use the café and the park)

Tourist: "Thank you! And then I can see it?"

You: (say which side the station is on, and wish her a good trip)

Round 2 — swap!

Now YOU are the tourist, and your teacher is Mia. But this time you look for Rosa's café, and the way there is different.
