Warm-up 🔁

Before the new story, let's bring back your words from Lessons 1 and 2. The ones ready to review are waiting here — a little today, a little in a few days.

A little dream 📖

Read it slowly. Say the words out loud.

Mia gazes at a travel-agency window full of pretty destination pictures, dreamy expression.

Mia walks past a travel shop. In the window, she sees the sea and mountains. 🏔️

"One day, I want to travel," she thinks. "I would like to see the world."

It is only a small dream now. But dreams need a plan!

At home, Mia finds an empty glass jar. She puts it on the shelf.

Mia drops a coin into a glass savings jar half full of coins, with a determined smile.

Every day, she puts a coin in the jar. Clink! 🪙 A little today, a little tomorrow.

The jar gets fuller and fuller. Slowly, the dream comes closer.

"I would like to go somewhere warm," she smiles. "Soon!" ✨

Notice: to say what you want, use want to or the more polite would like to + a verb.

Act it out 🎭

Now YOU have a jar, a dream, and a friend with questions!

🎬 The scene: Your flat. Tom sees the glass jar on the shelf. It is half full of coins.

Round 1 — you are Mia

Your teacher is Tom. Speak your lines — don't write them.

Tom: "What is this jar? It is full of coins!"

You: (tell him what you do with the jar every day, and why)

Tom: "A trip! Where would you like to go?"

You: (tell him two things you would like to see or do on your trip)

Tom: "That sounds wonderful. So when do you go?"

You: (say it is not now — talk about the future, and what you hope)

Round 2 — swap!

Now YOU are Tom, and your teacher is Mia. But this time the jar is Tom's, and he saves for something different — not a trip.
