Warm-up 🔁

Before the new story, let's bring back your words from Lessons 1 and 2. The ones ready to review are waiting here — a little today, a little in a few days.

A busy week ahead 📖

Read it slowly. Say the words out loud.

Mia and Rosa look at a week planner on the café wall, pointing at different days.

Mia keeps the café diary. Next week is very busy! 📔

"On Monday, we're meeting the bread man," she tells Rosa.

"On Tuesday, a school class is coming to visit." 🎒

"On Wednesday, we're getting a big delivery of oranges." 🍊

Mia shakes hands with a friendly delivery driver at the café door, crates of oranges beside them.

"And on Thursday, we're having a quiz night!"

Rosa smiles. "You plan everything so well, Mia."

The delivery man comes. Mia checks the crates. Everything is ready. 📦

Notice: we can use the present continuous (am/is/are + -ing) for plans in the future — with a future day or time.

The pattern: present continuous for the future 🧩

Look at the pattern, then use it.

I'm meeting the man on Monday.
We're getting a delivery tomorrow.
She's coming next week.
A fixed plan? use am/is/are + -ing + a future time. I'm seeing Tom tonight.

Before you go

See you next time. Today's words join your Warm-up. Little by little, they become yours forever. 🔁

Act it out 🎭

Now YOU are in the story. The café diary is in your hands.

🎬 The scene: Monday morning at the café. Rosa wants to hear the whole plan for next week.

Round 1 — you are Mia

Your teacher is Rosa. Speak your lines — don't write them.

Rosa: "Mia, you have the diary. Is next week busy? What's happening on Monday?"

You: (say who you are meeting on Monday — talk about the plan as a fixed plan)

Rosa: "Good. And Tuesday? I heard something about children?"

You: (say who is coming to visit and on which day)

Rosa: "And the oranges? We have almost none left!"

You: (say what you are getting, and when — then tell her everything is prepared)

Round 2 — swap!

Now YOU are Rosa, and your teacher is Mia. But this time it is YOUR week: you're seeing the doctor, visiting your sister, and getting a delivery of flour — you choose the days.
