Warm-up 🔁

Before the new story, let's bring back your words from Lessons 1 and 2. The ones ready to review are waiting here — a little today, a little in a few days.

Everything must be perfect 📖

Read it slowly. Say the words out loud.

A very neat café: Rosa straightening chairs while Mia polishes the counter; a clipboard with tick marks lies on the bar.

Today the café has an inspection. A person comes to check the rules. 📋

Rosa is a little nervous. "Everything must be perfect," she says.

"We must clean every table," says Mia. "And we mustn't forget the kitchen!"

They work hard. The counter shines. The floor is spotless. ✨

Rosa and Mia high-fiving behind the counter, a little prize rosette pinned by the till.

The inspector comes in. She looks at everything and writes on her clipboard.

"Very good," she says at last. "You pass!" 🎉

Rosa and Mia high-five. "We did it together!" laughs Mia. 🏅

Notice: must = it is very important to do it. mustn't = it is not allowed, don't do it!

Act it out 🎭

Now YOU are in the story. The big check is today — everything must be perfect!

🎬 The scene: Early morning at the café. The inspector comes at ten. Rosa is very nervous, and you have the list of rules.

Round 1 — you are Mia

Your teacher is Rosa. Speak your lines — don't write them.

Rosa: "Mia, the inspection is today! I'm so nervous. What do we do first?"

You: (tell her calmly — say two very important jobs for the café)

Rosa: "The tables, yes… Can we leave the kitchen for later?"

You: (say no — tell her the thing you must NOT forget)

Rosa: "She's coming down the street! Quick — the rules, one more time!"

You: (give one more important rule, one thing that is not allowed, and say why: you want to pass!)

Round 2 — swap!

Now YOU are Rosa, and your teacher is Mia. But this time a famous TV cook is visiting the café tomorrow — the jobs and rules are different, and YOU have the list.
