Warm-up 🔁

Before the new story, let's bring back your words from Lessons 1 and 2. The ones ready to review are waiting here — a little today, a little in a few days.

This one or that one? 📖

Read it slowly. Say the words out loud.

Mia in a little gift shop choosing between two teapots — a plain one and a flowery one — the shopkeeper waiting patiently.

Mia wants to buy a gift for Rosa, to say thank you. She goes to a little shop. 🎁

She sees two teapots. A plain white one and a lovely flowery one. 🫖

"Which one is better?" she asks the shopkeeper. "The flowery one is nicer," he says.

She looks at some cups too. "I like the blue ones," she says.

Mia wrapping the flowery teapot in amber paper with a big ribbon at her kitchen table.

In the end, Mia chooses the flowery teapot. "This one, please!"

At home, she wraps it in amber paper with a big ribbon. 🎀

"Rosa will love this one," she smiles. 😊

Notice: we say one for a single thing and ones for more — so we don't repeat the noun.

Act it out 🎭

Now YOU are in the little shop, looking for the perfect gift!

🎬 The scene: A little gift shop. You want a gift for Rosa. There are two teapots — a plain white one and a flowery one.

Round 1 — you are Mia

Your teacher is the shopkeeper. Speak your lines — don't write them.

Shopkeeper: "Hello! Can I help you?"

You: (say hello — say you want to buy a gift for a friend)

Shopkeeper: "We have two teapots. This plain one, and this flowery one."

You: (ask him which is better — don't repeat the word "teapot"!)

Shopkeeper: "The flowery one is nicer, I think. Anything else?"

You: (choose the teapot you want — then ask him to wrap it with a ribbon)

Round 2 — swap!

Now YOU are the shopkeeper, and your teacher is Mia. But this time she wants a bag, and you have a big one and a small one.
