Warm-up 🔁

Before the new story, let's bring back your words from Lessons 1 and 2. The ones ready to review are waiting here — a little today, a little in a few days.

Mia's scrapbook 📖

Read it slowly. Say the words out loud.

Mia sticking photos into a scrapbook at her table, remembering; the ginger cat asleep on her lap.

It is almost one year since Mia came to the town. She makes a scrapbook. 📔

She sticks in her photos and remembers everything, in order.

"First, I arrived with one suitcase," she says. "I knew nobody." 🧳

"Then I met Tom, and Rosa gave me a job at the café." ☕

A warm collage: memory bubbles around Mia — the suitcase arrival, the café counter, the umbrella, the wonky cake, the castle.

"After that, I learned to bake, I got my little flat, and Ana came to visit."

"And finally, this town became my home," she smiles. 🏡

Good news! Ana is coming back — for a big party. "What a year!" says Mia. ✨

Notice: to tell a story in order, we use first, then, after that, and finally.

Before you go

See you next time. Today's words join your Warm-up. Little by little, they become yours forever. 🔁

Act it out 🎭

Now YOU sit with the scrapbook open — a whole year of memories!

🎬 The scene: Mia's little flat. The scrapbook is full of photos, and Ana calls to hear all about the year.

Round 1 — you are Mia

Your teacher is Ana. Speak your lines — don't write them.

Ana: "Mia! I want to hear about your whole year — from the start!"

You: (begin the story — what happened before everything else, with your suitcase)

Ana: "And after you arrived? Who did you meet?"

You: (continue in order — the next two things that happened)

Ana: "What a year! And how does the story end?"

You: (finish the story — say what this town is for you now)

Round 2 — swap!

Now YOU are Ana, and your teacher is Mia. But this time you tell Ana's year in the big city — in order, from start to end.
