Warm-up 🔁

Before the new story, let's bring back your words from Lessons 1 and 2. The ones ready to review are waiting here — a little today, a little in a few days.

The street party 📖

Read it slowly. Say the words out loud.

The street party outside the café: long tables, lanterns, the whole town; Mia at the centre between Tom, Rosa and Ana, raising glasses of lemonade.

The big day is here — the street party! The whole town comes. 🎉

There are long tables, lanterns, music, and lots of cake. Ana is back, too! 🎈

Rosa, Tom, Ana and all Mia's friends are here. Everyone is smiling.

Then Mia stands on a chair. She wants to say something — in English. 🗣️

Mia standing on a chair giving a happy little speech, hand on heart, friends cheering around her in the evening glow.

"One year ago, I arrived with one suitcase. I knew nobody," she says.

"Now I have a home, a job, and the best friends. Thank you, all of you." ❤️

Everyone cheers. Mia looks around at her town. "This," she says softly, "is home." 🏡✨

Notice: today is a review! You know so much now — words, patterns, and Mia's whole story. Be proud! 🎉

Act it out 🎭

Now YOU stand on the chair — the whole town is waiting for your speech!

🎬 The scene: The street party. Long tables, lanterns, music — and Tom, Rosa, Ana and all your friends are looking at you.

Round 1 — you are Mia

Your teacher is the whole town. Speak your lines — don't write them.

The town: "Speech! Speech! Stand on the chair, Mia!"

You: (start your speech — say how you came here one year ago, with one suitcase)

The town: "Hooray! And now, Mia? What do you have now?"

You: (say what you have now — and thank your friends)

The town: "We love you, Mia! One last question — are you happy here?"

You: (finish your speech — say how you feel, and what this town is for you)

Round 2 — swap!

Now YOU are the town, and your teacher is Mia. But this time, after her speech, YOU stand up and give a short speech about your own year of English.

Stuck? Look at your Words again, then come back and try once more.
