You will see 8 sentence frames — in the exact order you'd write an IELTS essay. Sentence 1 opens your introduction. Sentence 8 closes your conclusion. Together, they ARE the essay.
You have 45 seconds to memorize all 8, in order. Then they disappear.
Your brain is terrible at remembering sentence frames in order. "Was it 'The primary argument' or 'Those who support'? Which one comes first?"
But your brain is incredible at remembering stories, pictures, and sequences of weird events.
Each of the 8 phrases has a key word. The first 2 letters of that word match a creature from the Bestiary.
You'll create a vivid scene for each creature. Then, to write an essay, you just walk through your 8 creatures in order:
Quail → Fish → Praying Mantis → Wren → Fox → Otter → Impala → Cow
Each creature = one sentence in your essay. In order. Every time.
Walk through phrases 1 to 8 and write a vivid scene for each creature. When you're done, you'll have memorized the entire essay structure.
To write any IELTS essay, walk through these 8 creatures in order. Each one gives you the next sentence.
You memorize all 8 — then pick the right ones for each essay type:
No opposing view needed — use "Furthermore" instead of "On the other hand"
Save your opinion for the conclusion — move Fish to the end
"Primary argument" becomes "primary cause"
Body 1 = advantages, Body 2 = disadvantages
Read through your chain once. Close your eyes. Walk through each creature in your mind.
I'll give you the creature. You pick the correct phrase.
Some people think that social media has a negative effect on young people. Others believe it has more benefits than drawbacks.
