📚 MUST - Strong Personal Obligation

VERY STRONG Internal feeling - YOU feel it's necessary

"I must finish this project today."
✓ I personally feel this is very important. It comes from ME, not external rules.
"You must see this movie - it's amazing!"
✓ Strong recommendation - I feel strongly that you should see it.
"Students must not use phones in class."
✓ Prohibition - very strong "don't do this!" (formal rule)

📚 HAVE TO - External Obligation

STRONG External rule - someone/something MAKES you do it

"I have to wear a uniform at work."
✓ External rule - my company requires it, not my personal choice.
"Do you have to study every day?"
✓ Asking about external obligation - is it required?
"She doesn't have to come if she's busy."
✓ No obligation - it's not necessary, she has a choice.

📚 SHOULD - Advice & Recommendation

ADVICE What's a good idea - but not obligatory

"You should exercise more."
✓ Advice - it's a good idea, but you don't HAVE to.
"Should I bring a gift to the party?"
✓ Asking for advice - is it a good idea?
"We shouldn't eat so much junk food."
✓ Advice not to do something - it's not a good idea.
