⚡ Lesson 32: Inversion for Emphasis

Dramatic Word Order - Making Your English Powerful!

⚡ What is Inversion for Emphasis?

Inversion means changing the normal word order (subject + verb) to emphasize something dramatic or important.

Instead of saying things normally, we flip the order to make it more dramatic and powerful!

😐 Normal (Boring)

"I have never seen such beauty."

Regular sentence - nothing special

⚡ INVERTED (Dramatic!)

"Never have I seen such beauty!"

WOW! Much more powerful and emotional!

😐 Normal

"I realized the truth only then."

⚡ INVERTED

"Only then did I realize the truth!"

😐 Normal

"I had rarely experienced such kindness."

⚡ INVERTED

"Rarely had I experienced such kindness!"
