Warm-up 🔁

Before the new story, let's bring back your words from the lessons before. The ones ready to review are waiting here — a little today, a little in a few days.

Rain, rain, rain 📖

Read it slowly. Say the words out loud.

Mia under a big amber umbrella on a rainy street, jumping over a puddle with a smile.

Mia opens her eyes. Tap, tap, tap on the window. Rain! It's rainy and it's cloudy. No sun today. ☁️

"Brr! It's cold!" says Mia. She takes her big umbrella and goes out.

The town looks different in the rain. The streets are wet. The river is big. Splash! Mia jumps over the water and laughs.

At the café, Tom is by the window. "Hello, Mia! What a day!" he says. "It's not sunny today!"

"No," says Mia. "But I like it. The rain sings on my umbrella!"

Mia and Tom by the café window with steaming mugs, rain running down the glass outside.

Rosa comes with two big cups. "Hot chocolate — for a rainy day," she says.

Mia holds her cup with two hands. It's warm and sweet. The rain runs down the glass.

"It's cold out there," says Tom, "but it's warm in here." Mia smiles. Yes. It is. 🍫

Notice: Mia says it's rainy, it's cold, it's warm. For weather, we start with a little it's. Learn the words next.

The pattern: It's + weather 🧩

To talk about the weather, start with It's… and add a weather word.

It's cold. 🥶  ·  It's warm. 😊
It's sunny. ☀️  ·  It's wet. 💧
To ask: What's the weather like?
→ It's rainy and cold.  ·  → It's sunny and warm!

Act it out 🎭

Now YOU walk into the story — on a very rainy day.

🎬 The scene: Rain, rain, rain. You come into the café. Tom is by the window with a big smile.

Round 1 — you are Mia

Your teacher is Tom. Speak your lines — don't write them.

Tom: "Mia! Hello! Ooh, look at the sky. What's the weather like out there?"

You: (say two weather words — start with "It's…")

Tom: "Brr! But look — your hair is not wet! How?"

You: (say what you hold over your head in the rain)

Tom: "Clever! Come, sit by the window. Rosa has hot chocolate. Is it good here?"

You: (say yes — say how it feels in the café, and how it is outside)

Round 2 — swap!

Now YOU are Tom, and your teacher is Mia. But this time it is a beautiful day — sun, no rain, no umbrella.
